A Five-Seven Cannons Opening

As a chess player, we played a lot of Openings including the Five-Seven Cannons Opening. It is a popular Opening known almost to all players.

Here we see a Grandmaster's level of the game. This is an example of a Five-Seven Cannons versus Central Knights Defence. The characteristics of this Opening is that Red plans to develop the major pieces as early as possible. The game was between Wu Guilin and Tao Hanming, played in 1995 on April of 10th at the city of Guilin, Guangxi province, during the 6th version of the Yinli Cup, won by GM Xu Yinchuan of Guangdong, the runner up was GM Hu Ronghua of Shanghai.

Let us follow their game and perhaps learn something from them.
