Irregular defence play

This game was played in Hong Kong during the 20th version of the Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macao 3 Cities Tournament, 30th of September 2001, between Xu Yinchuan (Guangzhou) and Liang Bo (Macao). The game was remarkable because Liang Bo tried out an irregular defence play, and later on to save the situation, he countered with some little traps of his own, however Xu Yinchuan was always in control.

Short commentaries:

1. ... R1+1, unusual opening. Normal moves are 2. R1=2, or 2. ... P7+1.

6. P3+1, the Two-headed snakes formation, now Black's two Knights liberties are
limited.

18. ... C1=3, this move is interesting, setting up some obscure counter play.

23. G5+4, brilliant move, an amateur player would easily go wrong in this situation.

26. R8+4, another winning move !
