In this tournanemt which is on its 5th year, Red is given 80 minutes and Black 40 minutes to finish their game, with each move added an extra time of 30 seconds.

In the preliminary stage, when a game is drawn, Red gets 1 point, Black 2 points. In the final and knoct-out stage, a drawn game means the elimination of Red. The special rules of this tournament were first proposed by Grandmaster Hu Ronghua.
