According to Chengdu Qiyuan website, the Olympic Council of Asia has approved in March of this year to include Xiangqi in the sporting competitions, to be held on the 2nd Asian Indoor Games in Macao.
The date will be from 26th of October to 1st of November 2007, players will be contesting the Men's Team, Men's Individual (Slowplay), Men's Individual (Quickplay), Women's Individual, and Under-18 Youth Individual competitions.
Winners of the competitions will be presented with Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals and Certificates to honour their achievements.
The Macao's Indoor Games Organizing Committee (MAIGOC) will provide accommodations, meals and local transportation to participating teams' leaders and representative players. Latest date for registration to participate with the MAIGOC is the 14th of September 2007.
