伦敦泰晤士河上，31日晚将有精彩烟花汇演，迎接2008年元旦的到临。
Welcoming the year 2008 will be the London's world-famous fireworks on New Year's Eve.
Mayor Ken Livingstone says "London is one of the best cities in the world to visit during the Christmas period and the New Year's Eve fireworks display is world-famous."
Last year more than 250,000 people were attracted to the banks of the Thames for the New Year's display.
People are advised to use public transport instead of cars as roads will be closed around the central areas earlier on the day.
