10th World Championship in Macau
Electronic chess-clocks will be used in the 10th World Xiangqi Championship in Macau.
Basically each player will have 80 minutes to finish the game, with 30 seconds added for each move made.
35th Xiangqi Championship in Paris 2025
(Xiangqi Newsletter) News from Paris: The 35th European Xiangqi Championship was initially planned to be held in Paris in late December 2024 around the Christmas time. However due to Christmas holidays many players have already made a plan with their family. Hence the Organizers and the Sponsors decided to postpone the Championship to the end of January or early February 2025, during the Lunar New Year. The total prize money will also be increased from EURO 3,000 to EURO 5,000. The tournament venue will be in Paris 13th district.
