2007世界智力大师的象棋预赛，将于9月18日揭幕。通过网上比赛，32名领先的各地棋手，将被邀请到北京参加面对面的决赛 (淘汰制)。

应世界智力大师机构邀请，中国象棋代表团将于本月17日到21日前来英国进行友好访问。代表团由中国象棋协会秘书长刘晓放女士率领，团员有特级大师张国凤，许银川与汪洋等。
The 2007 World Mind Masters early stages online tournament will start from 18th of September, entry is free for all registered players. The 32 top players from all over the world who qualified for the final stage will be invited to Beijing to play a live knockout competition, with all expenses paid. Invited by the World Mind Masters, Miss Zhang Guofeng Xiangqi Grandmaster, Mr. Xu Yinchuan World Xiangqi Masters Champion & Gold Medal 2005, Mr. Wang Yang World Xiangqi Masters Champion & Gold Medal 2006, accompanied by Ms. Liu Xiaofang, Secretary General of Chinese Xiangqi Association, will be visiting the UK from 17th to 21st of September, during which they will attend welcoming reception, meeting with the Lord Mayor of Westminster, friendship tournaments, visit to the Houses of Parliament, a get together with students studying Mandarin at some local schools and at the Cambridge University, sightseeing and shopping in London, lunches and dinners etc.
