A thunderous Cannon's attack, which destroyed all things anywhere and everywhere literally. Two variations are illustrated today, examples taken from the excellent book "Xiangqi Lesson", whose Chief Editor is Mr. Cheng Mingsong, of Sichuan.

(Xiangqi Newsletter) News from Paris: The 35th European Xiangqi Championship was initially planned to be held in Paris in late December 2024 around the Christmas time. However due to Christmas holidays many players have already made a plan with their family. Hence the Organizers and the Sponsors decided to postpone the Championship to the end of January or early February 2025, during the Lunar New Year. The 18th World Xiangqi Championship hosted in Houston, is drawing to a close with an electrifying final that crowned new champions -- Meng Chen（孟辰）and Tang Sinan（唐思楠）of Team China.
