Surfing some museums' websites today, and as expected for tomorrow, there will be Xiangqi and other cultural activities celebrating the mid-autumn moon festival.
The traditional Mid-autumn Festival celebrated at the Victoria and Albert Museum, South Kensington, London is on Sunday 8th of October 2006, with a day packed with events including a lantern parade with pupils from many Chinese schools and communities , led by colourful lion dance and Yaogu (waist drum) drumming.
Not forgetting that there was also music and lantern-making workshops, Kungfu and Tai Chi demonstrations and Chinese Chess.
